Well good news and bad news

Well, a lot has happened in the past few weeks. May is usually an very busy time of year for the average person but ask any school teacher and they will say it is worse for them!! That is just dandy for Brad and I. We are going have an even busier May this go around!! If you have read my previous blog you know Brad got a job in Katy (Houston area). He found out last week he would be able to start before the school year ends(coaching thing). So guess what I am a single mom as of Monday April 26th. Oh, and did I mention our house has a contract on it. Yea, that is the good news. We have our inspection on Friday morning. Please pray that nothing is wrong that makes them change their mind or that will cost us the little change we will walk away with!!! We are looking at a May 24th closing date and we will have to be out on the 26th. Do the math, we are in school until June 4th. So Brooklyn and I will be living in a hotel for roughly 10 days!! I love my coaches wife life!!! Do you sense the sarcasim??? But regardless, we will be racking up the frequent flyer miles this next month.

Oh a side note, Brooklyn is doing really well with potty training. She had been waking up from nap dry for months and telling us when she was going potty. So the sitter decided to do cold turkey panties (not pull ups) during the day as long as we were consistent at home too. So Brooklyn has been in panties for a week and a half. The only problem was that she had strep when we started (we didn't know). The first week was rough with little success (a lot because she was not eating or drinking much). This week has been better. She had gone in the potty a lot each day. Preschool is still bad. She tells them she needs or wants to go but won't. She will sit on the potty with no action. Today she went in the potty all day. She wet during nap time (go figure) and even went poop in the potty. No accidents today unless tinkle in the tub counts!! So, maybe in the next week or 2 she will be for the most part trained!!!

I am going to leave you with a couple of pictures from last week. She had fun at the park for baby Sophies birthday. She even climbed the rock wall!! Please pray for us in the weeks to come. We are going to have more test of strength, faith and patience than we have ever had before.

Loving the slide. She looks older than 20 months.
Shopping at Avon for her soaps.

She took her glasses off. I told her to put them back on. So, she did it like mommy.

Glad she seems to have the potty thing down... Coach's and preacher's kids and wives always get the short end. Love
