Oh, My!

Well, it has been forever since I have blogged. So much has been going on. Where to even start. Brooklyn's 12 months stats have her at above average on everything. She was 22.6 pounds and well, lets just say out of a hundred girls her age she has the biggest head!!!

We finally got her somewhat used to going back to the sitter for so long!! She has always loved the sitter, but just wants me there too. She screamed when I left yesterday, but today no tears.

She is talking up the storm these days. She says

shoe - loves shoes, wants them on all the time and learned to say it today

The dr. asked at her 12 month what she was saying. I told him that she has said all of these words at some point but doesn't use them daily. He said, "Do you know what she is suppose to say at 12 months?" I said, " 5 words besides mom and dad." " He said, " Well there is no need to discuss that subject anymore."

She knows which ways books go. She will pull them down and turn them so they are the right way. She will sit and turn the pages in a book for what seems like forever. She will point at all the things I point at when I read them to her. She even showed the dr. this trick!!

I did not think walking and drinking from a cup was a big deal at her age but the dr. said it was impressive. He called a sevant (spelling??).

She will now tell you a cow says moo!!!

She is eating so good now. The only thing she will not eat is mashed potatoes. Never has and still doesn't want anything to do with them. She loves
avocado
cauliflower
broccoli
brisket -just tried this week
any fruit, especially blue berries
chicken
carrots are her favorite
corn
sweet pickles -she ate them tonight!!

She did ok at her first football game of the season. Loved kick offs, punts, etc. Loved running on the field after the game. Loved dancing to the band. Through herself back in a kicking screaming fit when they stopped playing!!!

Brooklyn is going to preschool this year for 2 days. They have meet the teacher tomorrow. Her sitter is her teacher. She is teaching Brooklyn's class at our Church's preschool!! Brad calls it double dipping but oh, well. She is getting to play somewhere else twice a week with one more different kid!!!

One more funny story. Friends comes on at like 5:00. Brad always watches it. All of a sudden yesterday Brooklyn noticed. My child has not watched a minute of tv since she was born. We have not encouraged it and she has not missed it. Well, yesterday as friends is coming on she does her excited screaming. She runs up to the tv, pounds on it and dances to the theme song. When it ended she threw herself down and so Brad had to rewind it a few times for her to dance some more!!!!
